    Firecracke:

Redwater Rustic Grill it is then!

    Big Smile

I left a message at the NW Redwater Rustic Grill - reservations for 12 at 7:00 p.m.   Unfortunately their reservations manager does not work weekends or evenings - so if anyone wants to call during regular working hours next Monday to confirm... that would be great.  Smile

    The address is:

1935 Uxbridge Dr. NW (Stadium Shopping Center)

    (403) 220 - 0222

I'm still on the four hands bit ;)

    PS - I'll be there

You dirty dirty woman. Or was that just me? In any case, no one is allowed to make any comments along the lines of "four hands are better than two". We don't need to pollute the internet with what goes on at the dinners. The internet just isn't ready for some things...

Yeah, Roberta came out for a second there.

First off, it was you.....sort of
Second, four hands ARE better than two - think of everything you could get accomplished!
and Third, what do you think the internet is FOR? (*starts singing* The internet is for.....)

    :D

If you think four hands are great, just wait till we hit the meat sword place!

Re: Redwater Rustic Grill - May meet-up.

    Arrrgggghhhh!

The Redwater Rustic Grill (North) left a message on my answering machine saying that they couldn't sit a group of 12.   (Damn them - they said they could when I called on Saturday - just wouldn't confirm it until the reservations manager came in on Monday.)

So I have been trying to call the Redwater Rustic Grill (South) to make reservations there - and I can't get through.

I am at the point where I am ready to chuck the attempt and just call Ho Wons and say we are coming in on Saturday - give us a big round table and let 'er rip!

    Any other ideas?

If you can't get reservations for Redwater Rustic Grill (south), might I suggest another really great Chinese restaurant. It's also nice to try other Chinese places other than Ho Won's. The Regency Palace. I was there on Saturday for Lafe's 40th birthday party. I was very impressed with the service and the food.  They also have a very yummy salt and pepper squid. I was really impressed with their ginger beef and lemon chicken. Sometimes when you order either of those dishes the meat can be tough and chewy. The Regency Palace's chicken and beef were both very tender and moist. This restaurant has a main dinning area and some smaller rooms to accommodate private parties from 10 to 50 people. Check their site out.  http://www.regencypalacerestaurant.com/  They are located at 328 Centre Street SE, just a few blocks south of Ho Won's. I highly recommend them, and would also love to go back there.  Something to think about and another fine choice.

Re: The Regency Palace - May 3rd

OK, change of plan.   (We are nothing if not adaptable. Smile)

Shannon suggested The Regency Palace at 328 Centre Street SE.

Reservations for 12 under my name for 7:00 p.m. on Saturday May 3rd.

    'Tis done.   Wink

P.S. Please RSVP - I have requested a round table to seat 12 - but if there are more than 12 they need to know.   Thanks!

Cool!  Tony and I will be there.  I'll have to ask Lafe if he wants to come or not so soon after Saturday's birthday party.  I enjoyed the food.  I'm eager to try other things on their menue.  Yum!  Smile

Doesn't look like I'm going to be there - had to take Fido to the emergency vet last night, and I'm supposed to be keeping a close eye on him this weekend *sigh*
