Ah well, that might explain it - I don't have cable any more, I switched to Telus TV [cheaper in spite of the claims made by Shaw - much better picture quality too] and I have a number of channels which were not part of the cable packages I had [I know that there were other stations I could have got for even more money - 60 and above - so maybe what I have I could have got if I subscribed to enough channels] but anyway, I have channels now which I never had with cable so perhaps that's why I have the show already - maybe on Canadian cable it isn't available but it is on something else
Anyway, it does sound like re-runs of New Amsterdam - now how pathetic is that to take a show you canceled last season and include re-runs of it in your new fall line-up?
Guess FOX wanted to save a bit of money and figured that surely the fans would never notice
It's a shame, I thought that New Amsterdam was an interesting idea - I mean, how many repentant Vampires who become police or private detectives or help such do we really need. I loved Forever Knight when it came out and I enjoyed Moonlight and also Blood Ties but it was wearing awfully thin so to have someone who was immortal-ish but not a vampire [also with the knowledge of years of experience but no super powers except for not dying] was a nice change. I'd have liked it more if they had dropped Moonlight and kept New Amsterdam [I know - different networks but still...]
Still though, what I'm looking forward to right now [since I'm already getting Eureka] is Sarah Connor - I really want to see more of that - and Heroes ... I guess I'll give Virtuality a try and see what it's like. Oh, and for not SF, I'm looking forward to the new season of Criminal Minds - I just re-watched the last episode and I'm wondering [assuming anyone watches it and knows what I'm talking about] the last scene is the SUV blowing up after we see all the team members getting into it ... or is it? Actually we see team members getting into SUVs but we don't see for sure that it's the same SUV and then when it blows up - I noticed that we can't see anyone inside at all. SO we don't know if that was an SUV that had the whole team or part of the team or somebody else or even nobody at all. Guess that depends on who wasn't willing to sign a contract for another season
I kind of enjoyed Smallville, but I didn't bother with the last season so unless I decide to try and watch that, I likely won't bother with the new season - it was fun and I liked the re-envisioning of things but I think it was aimed at a younger audience [though not as young as Lois and Clark
