Generally I really like your interests.
My problems with HypaSpace (more the show than the podcasts) are when it veers too far away from covering sci-fi and fantasy. For instance, the recent piece about the First Date art exhibit in downtown Toronto was really out of place. Same with the empty hype for new mobile phones from LG.
Another issue is timeliness. You can try to be newsy and deliver information fairly promptly and/or you can go more in-depth and report on something later. But too often, Hypaspace delivers a brief bit of news about two weeks after it's news.
This all being the case, interviews are great; they tend to be more 'evergreen' and I can even somewhat stand to hear a star of '100,000 BC' go on about how great the effects are on the big screen when here we are months later and the movie's hitting DVD.
Reporting on stuff that doesn't make mainstream headlines is great too, like the Hugo and Saturn Awards. Better timely, but better late than never.
Anyway, I'm very interested to see what the replacement series is like ....
