More trivia: Charlton Heston was playing Nick Fury, under another name, in True Lies.

I am not saying its oscar worthy but I think the Hoff did better as Nick F then the guy from M*A*S*H who played the Martian Manhunter in the Justice League movie.

 It was a pilot for a tv series. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justice_League_of_America_%28Live_action%29
 So it is likely lost forever.

I can't see the Hoff giving up on the difinitive role.  It would be like Olivier giving up on Hamlet.

 

The Hoff is an alcoholic nitwit who ruined his career with bad post-Knight Rider crap.

The Hoff then decided to be a singer (not bad for one, but the videos sucked.)

The Hoff can't hold a candle to Sam Jackson or Robert Downey Jr. in the acting department

The Nick Fury movie The Hoff starred in was such ***, my family and I turned it off and watched a documentary on PBS.

 That's why The Hoff wasn't Nick Fury in Iron Man.

The current wave of new Marvel movies are just taking a lot of inspiration from the 'Ultimate' comics ... and in those comics, Nick Fury is based directly on Samuel L. Jackson, with his permission.

In essence, the role has been planned for him for years.
