I love the new forums !! very nice  !!!!

But !!!!!!!!!!!

My friend     lycangodes cant post on the new boards ! she said to me  that whenever she goes to compose a message  in the message box ,  Her cursor doesnt come up and she cant type anything   everything is working except that she cant write   .

here's an example of what i'm talking about .

The circled cursor doesnt comeup at all in her screen     

Any suggestions i can give her ???

Has she tried to point in the area and click to activate the cursor? It doesn't just appear for me either without clicking in the area...

Yes she did Bixby ! and it still doesnt work . thanks for your suggestion .

Later on I'm going to take everyone's suggetions and send them over to her .

hmm not sure why it would not work.

We have tested on many different computers with various settings.

What is her configuration...mac/pc...browser version? etc

Clicking on a thread title in the "Active" section on the right hand side will take you to the 1st post in the thread, is there any way to have it go to the latest post (or last page) instead?

New forums are great and I'm liking the new look and options...however...My e-mail notification is off and I am still receiving e-mails and not only to threads I have made posts to but threads I have not even looked at. This was a problem on the old boards but now it is even worse as I am getting even more mails.

 

OH...and where are the links to the boards at the bottom of the page...it's a pain to have to scroll up to get back to the main forums.

A few little things that I miss from the previous forums: Since I do most of my reading from the "Active Topics" page, I miss the info about which sub forum each thread comes from. Since there are shows that I'm not interested in, that helped to let me know which threads wouldn't interest me. I liked being able to see which member started a certain thread... now all I see is which member was the last to post a reply in the thread. And I also like seeing how many views a thread had. Was a good way to gauge how much interest folks around here have in a given topic even if there were no posted replies.

Otherwise I'm getting used to the newness...

The new forum still has a difficult time recognising when a URL is being posted.

 

I just put one in this thread:  http://forums.spacecast.com/forums/287928/ShowThread.aspx#287928 The forum should immediately recognise the http prefix, and turn the url into a link, but there it sits, completely unclickable...
