    Scheduling Schizophrenia...AGAIN

    Hey Space

A few weeks ago you pat yourselves on the back and announce the return of Blood Ties reruns to your Thursday Night schedule.  Then this week it gets moved, either unannounced or poorly announced, to Tuesday nights.

This is what happened in the first run of this great series.   If you don't pick a spot and leave a show there it will not find its full potential audience.  Other than bad planning in the first place I can't understand what would generate a schedule change only 4 weeks into a run...

Just don't go blaming a lack of fan support for Blood Ties if it doesn't come back.  At least step up and take the blame for your own mistakes in mishandling it.

    Re: Scheduling Schizophrenia...AGAIN

I agree, how could you just pull a show after just 4 weeks and not ever advertise the change. It leads be to believe that people dont' want this show to succeed and that is sad... BTW the fanbase is growing at an alarming rate even if you do not want it to. So is it Monday's at 9pm or Tuesday's at 9pm????  Gesh

    Re: Scheduling Schizophrenia...AGAIN

I have seen alot of spots re the new day and time plus there is a daily listings section to the website which is generally accurate and besides days and times sometimes even supplies episode titles and blurbs if they have them.

    Re: Scheduling Schizophrenia...AGAIN

all this shuffling is making it hard for me to catch this show... i set my PVR to record this show in case i miss it, but if you keep changing the day and time it is on, i just may have to forget about this show  ... just too much trouble to watch it ...

BTW.. is there a way to tell which episode is which after it airs ???  i found an episode guide, but unless i know which is which, doesn't help much, unless i have to watch each episode, read the episode guide and then figure it out from there ???

Well, the DVDs should be coming out soon -- end of summerish (2008) from all of the rumors we've been hearing about... Cool

I can't help you with how to identify the eps shown, since I'm in the USA and on a different cable Tv system. However, here is a list of all 22 eps (Season 1), as they originally appeared in the USA and I think also in Canada. If the eps are repeated out of order, there's a short enough story blurb to figure out which ep is what, based on the list provided below.

Please NOTE -- all 22 eps are as noted below (key to what's what -- immediately follows this line)

Episode # -- Title of Episode *** idea behind it
    ...starring who
    1x01 -- Blood Price,Part 1 *** Meet the Blood Suckers; intros
Amber Borycki, Michael Eklund, Patricia Isaac, Phillip Mitchell, Juan Riedinger, Sean Whale, Françoise Yip

1x02 -- Blood Price,Part 2 *** Bad times ahead - for EVERYBODY! Norman gets his gal.
Amber Borycki, Michael Eklund, Patricia Isaac, Phillip Mitchell, Juan Riedinger, Sean Whale, Françoise Yip

    1x03 -- Bad Juju *** Zombies and Voodoo ...
    Michael-Ann Connor, Kimberly Demarse

1x04 -- Gifted *** Telekinetic powers; Not your usual stuffed animal toy ...
Nimet Kanji, Ingrid Tesch, Brenda McDonald, Michael Coleman, Shohan Felber, Wayne Bernard, Ildiko Ferenczi, Chantal Forde, Mike Coleman, Brad Turner, Françoise Yip,
{special guest star:} Gordon-Michael Woolvett (Seamus Harper of "Andromeda")

1x05 -- Deadly Departed *** Spirited revenge (ghost on murder streak); Henry gets a distraction from his "Oh Henry!" girlfriend... :p)
    Alex Zahara

1x06 -- Love Hurts *** Cheating wife? Dead wife!...and demonic gargoyles that come to life
Krista Morin, Peter Graham-Gaudreau, Françoise Yip

    1x07 -- Heart of Ice,Part 1 *** Disappearing homeless people & icy-hearted creature
    Julian Sands, Angelique Naude

1x08 -- Heart of Fire,Part 2 ***** Henry is tortured by a Spanish Inquisiter! (DEFINITELY, a DO NOT MISS Episode!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Surprise
Julian Sands, Daniella Evavgelista, Angelique Naude

    1x09 -- Stone Cold *** (Medusa) Do-it-yourself statues
Andrew Hrankowski, Lindsay Maxwell, Lisa Ray, Desiree Zurowski, Michael Adamthwaite
***This is the episode where Tanya Huff cameos -- appears in the background
    Written by: Tanya Huff

1x10 -- Necrodome *** Dead Man Walking (has a soul, so its only half zombie-like)
Kimberly Demarse, Aurelio Dinunzio, G. Michael Gray

1x11 -- Post Partum *** demon pregnancies and Damien of the Omen??

Well, that's the (Season 1) episode list, and hope the little details help enough without spoiling the plots away. ;-)

Or you could do what I stated in my earlier post and look in the daily listings.

    Re: Scheduling Schizophrenia...AGAIN (**ep SPOILERS**)

well. the daily listings prob won't work as the file names are just simply blood_ties0xx.mpg, dunno about the story blurn..

eg.. the ep named blood_ties001.mpg starts with  Christina Cox sitting in a comic store reading a graphic novel about vampires ....

cause i have missed a few eps ( just haven't watched them ) was going to edit the commercials out and encode them to dvd's with DD 5.1 sound, then watch them on after iv'e done this :-)

but with a possable dvd release, ( where did you see this ? ) maybe i won't do that ....

I think that's the episode for "Gifted" -- but I'm not entirely sure in remembering... so, the coding there doesn't look like the very beginning of the list -- but sounds like it's one of the latter ones and out of sequencial viewing order.

    Re: Scheduling Schizophrenia...AGAIN

    Just a heads up folks,

Looks like Space has pre-empted Blood Ties on May 19th for a whack of movies on the long weekend.  We appear to pickup where we left off on the 26th, though.

    Re: Scheduling Schizophrenia...AGAIN

Hardly suprising.  They almost always do marathons on long weekends.
    20 minutes into the future.
