The 13th Colony, Vancouver's Battlestar Galactica Fan Club, will be holding a party to coincide with the airing of the last new episode of this year, "Revelations" on June 13th.
....it just had to work out to Friday the 13th, didn't it? You KNOW they're going to leave us with one helluva cliffhanger, so hence we're calling it the Frakkin' Cliffhanger! Season Ender Party
The episode airs at 7pm (PDT), so we will gather at 5:30pm at Eighties Restaurant in North Vancouver. Our standard deal with the restaurant is that everyone who attends will order off the menu. The staff are used to sci-fi fans and they did a wonderful job hosting our Season Premiere party back in April. We want to make sure they continue to enjoy having us there. We packed the green room with 35 BSG fans last time and I'm expecting just about the same size crowd this time around. So if you're interested in joining us, please head over to our Meetup site and sign up. That way we can give accurate numbers to the restaurant.
I can promise there will be lively discussions, speculation galore...and we're even holding an artistic challenge. In any medium (drawing, painting, sculpture, writing, photography, electronics,
robotics, costuming, baking...you decide), create something with a
Battlestar Galactica theme. There will be prizes for best, most
hideous, most creative use of macaroni....whatever we can come up with!
The entries will be voted on by those attending.
We'll laugh. We might cry. I'll bet at least one person will scream when "to be continued" comes up at the end... That's why we love the show, isn't it?
