The coffee has been good - the news has not.
<WARNING: The following might bother some readers since it is not only a rant but it's a rant about politics>
It seems that the Canadian government has finally decided to give in the the US [once again] and faithfully obey the US courts by creating a new copyright law that is more in line with what the US has told us to do. You might note that it isn't a question of the law itself that has me bugged but rather the fact that the US told Canada to do it and although for a while our politicians refused, in the end, we have obeyed the orders given to us by the US. I swear some days I feel like we might as well stop pretending to be a country and just admit that we are nothing more than a satilite of the US and that really burns me. If I wanted to live under US laws and rules I'd move to the US - and frankly, I think that is exactly what a lot of our politicians should do. Ok, I'm off my soapbox now
.
<I now return you to your regularly schedualed morning coffee>
