Well what will really blow your mind, then... Starbuck has been to Earth and "they're going the wrong way", and who is leading them away? Where does Starbuck go? She goes to convince Roslin to turn around. So why isn't Roslin heading for Earth? Well if your goal is to protect humans, why have the cylons follow you to the thirteenth colony? And she may have realized she was a cylon for some time, especially since the transfusion, and she's trying to find her place. She was against the bombing against the cylons on New Caprica, she's sharing the visions, and maybe as President she would unite the two factions for a peaceful future.
She's the first skinjob, and malfunctioning, and the hybrid transfusion helped for a while. She's falling apart. Made too human. She made him an admiral. As a final five, she's prote4cting humans. Maybe her model has been active so long without ressurrecting that she has to have what the Doc thinks is cancer. Cells breaking down, acting like a cancer...
And like the other cylon females, she has an attachment to a human male, and of course, she isattached to Adama, Admiral of the fleet. It's a good way to influence things when just being President wasn't working.
Now at the end of our last episode they had a fight and he is breaking free of her. He sent Starbuck out with a ship to find Earth. This sets up the conflict.
This Roslin theory makes a lot of sense from a writer's perspective, There are a lot of subtle clues going back to the first season if we look for them. But all good writers leave clues for all sorts of suspects, so we cannot confirm that it is Roslin just yet.
But if we think like writers, and try to plot it out, I think we'll find the answer :)
Oh and Starbuck was sucked into the gas giant at full speed, probably moved at the speed of light, and without jumping, the time distortion effects take her. So she experiences a few hours, everyone sees her as gone for a few months, and if she was pushed back in time, it could distort and somehow pull the Viper into the time it was still new. We should see if there are any hints that Starbuck is missing a scar, or an injury seems healed, and that could be indication of this theory instead of the one that she's a cylon.
This is fun. I need to get my fellow aspiring screenwriters onto the problem and see what else we can figure out. :)
