Anyone still watching Doctor Who Season 4 (**** Possible SPOILERS****)
Just finished watching episode 09x04. It was a Moffat episode so quite enjoyed it. There were some good digs taken at the fans regarding the topic of *SPOILERS*. Anyone have any theories on who our mysterious archaelogist really is? When I watched eps 8 & 9, I kept thinking maybe she's really Ramona but I guess we'll have to wait and see since we have no diary in which we can take a peek!

spoilers for 4x08 and 4x09 ... The Doctor said he would only reveal his name under one condition. He didn't say what the condition was, but the 2 best guesses are if he's on his death bed, or at his wedding. Sine River said he REALLY liked her, I'm guessing wedding.
She also said she knew the Doctor when he was much older. I hope Mr Moffet does a 2 parter just before #10 regenerates that shows him older and married. Once his wife is gone, he can regenerate and start gallivanting again.
One thing is for sure though, somebody DOES actually know the Doctors real name. The only part of the 2 parter that I didn't like was Rivers 'afterlife'. She was an archaeologist and had an exciting life with the Doctor, the setting she was left in wasn't appropriate for her personality. If they had said she could live on exploring the vast library just as she explored the universe, then I might buy it. Next week seems to be a Donna lite episode

I may see the world in black and white but I prefer my movies to be in amazing Technicolor.

That would be nice if she came back, but.... the Doctor should have recognized her as a Time lord. (although, he didn't notice the Master either.)

Yeah that's another angle that came to mind for me. However, I thought the interaction between them didn't seem quite right for her to be Susan. We'll just have to watch the last four episodes to find out I guess.

Happy Birthday... sort of
I just read that this weekends episode is the 200th episode of Doctor Who.. Honestly, after 40 years, I thought it would be a lot higher than that. Anyway, Congrats to the Doc for hanging in for so long.

IMDB Link kinda odd seeing that many seasons had around 40 episodes

I'm thinking that, for the older stories, they're counting each multi-part story as a single episode. For example, Genesis of the Daleks would be only 1 episode, not 6.

Yea, that's got to be how they are counting. The first thing this site says is "Over 600 episodes, 150 stories" and if 2 parters in the new series must count as one story, then 150 old + 50 new I guess.

Apparently there are rumors flying around about yet another Doctor Who spin off. This is in addition to the K9 spin off currently in the works. I love this last paragraph from the article, and it's right, it never gets old... but t is spoilery if you haven't been keeping up. And, yes -- in case you were wondering -- should the Jenny pilot take
flight, Moffett would be the first Doctor's Daughter (Peter Davison is
her father...) to play the Doctor's Daughter, to date The Doctor
(currently courting David Tennant, above), and to star in her own Doctor Who spin-off as The Doctor's Daughter. That whole deal never gets old.

Yeah I laughed when I read it but it does sound a bit incestuous doesn't it?

Re: Series 4 - Possible SPOILER Warning
Having watched the trailer for the next-to-last episode of this series… Is it just me, or is Davies "summing up" his tenure on Doctor Who. From the looks of things, there are guest-stars galore, not only from past episodes, but from Davies' other Who-related series. Could it be his way of saying good-bye? (I know he's supposed to be writing the "year of specials," next year, but this will be his last full series.)

Re: Series 4 - Possible SPOILER Warning
I finally got caught up with Doctor Who last night. Wow. All I can say is Wow! Things are really coming to a head now. I get the feeling at least one Character is not going to survive the series. [:'(]

The BBC likes David... a whole lot!!!
THE BBC is rumoured to be ready to pay David Tennant a massive £1.3 million to carry on as Doctor Who.
The Bathgate-born actor is expected to be offered a new deal worth up to £100,000 per episode.
And he could also be offered other drama projects in a bid to keep him on board.
BBC bosses are desperate to stop the 37-year-old from quitting the show, which attracts up to eight million viewers.
One
senior BBC source was quoted saying: "Everyone assumes David is
quitting but that's not the case. We're hoping he will be back.
"The
situation as it stands is that no deal has been discussed yet for the
next series of Doctor Who. That, however, is about to change.
"David is brilliant in the role and naturally we hope he will continue. We're not considering anyone else at this time."
Tennant
said: "I've been asked when I'm quitting since the first day I took the
part. I've not quit – I've just not been offered another deal yet." Anybody know how much that is in real money?
