    Blakes 7 remake confirmed

Just read this article which says that due to the sucess of New Doctor Who and New Battlestar Galactica, they've decided to make a New Blakes 7.

I watched all of Blakes 7 when it was on PBS. It was ok but nothing to rave about in my opinion. I can only hope the remake is better than the original.

Oh good, another show we will probably never see here.  It would be nice if this spurred the release of the dvds of the original here.

The thing that worries me is the possible (mis)casting of Servelan and making Orac a cute little robot.

I may see the world in black and white but I prefer my movies to be in amazing Technicolor.

My first toy spaceship was a die-cast Liberator.  I think it was made by Majorette, or Corgi, or something, as I remember also having some toy cars by the same company.  It was in seeing my toy on PBS that I was introduced to this series.

Space couldn't get Doctor Who, but maybe they can get the rights to this one.

Servelan was that hot evil chick right? I have an image of Emma Peel gone bad. And yea, if Orac shows up looking like Twiki, my TV is going out the window.

I hope you still have the Corgi DSV 1.

The original concept was 'Dirty Dozen in Outer Space", referring to the original movie, of course.  If they went with that concept, plus a little Farscape influence,  but darker, they  should be ok.

I just did some poking and it was the #44 (blue) not the #2 (white) and the last time I saw it was about 10ish years ago as I put it into a storage trunk in my parent shed, labeled "Important" so I'm pretty sure it's still there.  I'll have to check next time I'm up North.

Yep I'd check.  I had some cool Star Trek and Star Wars models, plus some car models, stored in my parents attic for about ten years. I climbed up there to get them and some *** had thrown them all away.   Maybe your relatives are more considerate than mine, but checking is a good idea.
