In case you've not heard, Stephen King will be in Toronto next week to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from Canadian Booksellers. Clive Barker will also be there to toast King, as will Margaret Atwood and George Stroumboulopoulos from The Hour (formerly The New Music --who did a great interview with Neil Gaiman years ago...but that's just an aside). King will be interviwed on stage by Chuck Klosterman (he of Fargo Rock City and the Cocoa Puffs book, the full name of which escapes me at the moment). With three decades of bestsellers behind him, the man deserves a massive celebration. It's at the Metro Convention Centre on June 8 and open to the public. Tickets are $25 thru ticketmaster and the Harbourfront Centre.
