    Evil_Otto:
While Stephen Hawking might not give full marks to the premise of the mission, there was enough suspense, action and thoughtful filmmaking to make this one of the best sci-fi films I've seen in quite a few years. Well worth checking out!

Yes, this film was very appealing, up to the point 2/3 's of the way through where I groaned and thought, "you gotta frackin be kidding me". Which is what everyone else who has seen or reviewed this movie thought. Although it manages to redeem itself the last 15 minutes. But that blip kinda soured my enjoyment, and so I would not rate it as a best sci-fi film, maybe a good sci-fi film. If it was a best sci-fi, then I would have gone again to see it.

And speaking of a best sci-fi film in a quite a few years, the Serenity Special Edition 2 Disc DVD will be available August 21,2007. Amazon.ca
