I'm posting this reply from Lionsgate that was received via snail mail by a fellow fan - THANK YOU LIONSGATE!!!
It's fantastic that Lionsgate has taken the time to respond to their fans & customers!!QUOTE
Thank you for your support of The Dresden Files. The series has received a great deal of popular attention, but it has not, as yet been renewed. We hope that it may someday soon return to air, but we have in the meantime released season one on DVD.
Again, we thank you for your support of the series.
This is
not a Cease-&-Desist-Your-Cause-Is-Hopeless letter (thank goodness!). Instead this letter is
especially encouraging and for several reasons:
Money is tight for the entertainment industry, yet Lionsgate showed respect for its customers and sent a reply that required postage to at least two TDF fans.
Our message is apparently being heard, as the letter states that the Dresden Files "has received a great deal of popular attention".
Lionsgate is apparently still open & willing to create more seasons and hope for renewal is apparently still alive or the reply "has not, as yet been renewed. We hope that it may someday soon return to air" most likely would have been more like: 'unfortunately there are no plans for a second season/renewal at this time/or in the foreseeable future.'
Also, the episodes on DVD were still refered to as 'season one'.
This is a nice little early Holiday present! Again,
thank you Lionsgate!!
Now, let's show just how 'popular' this series is by getting EVERYONE here on Friday for the View-In, and make a SPECTACULR impression!!
