Not flaming TexMTL, I promise. I simply don't agree. I remember Forever Night and enjoyed the show, really didn't want to see it end but it definately ended. It was gloomy but I love vampire shows & movies. Blood Ties is different. This vamp is having fun and loving life. The stories are great and cast is outstanding. I love the fact it's filmed in Canada, nice views of the city. I guess my favorite words to describe Blood Ties is upbeat and fun to watch. Oh yea, romance isn't dead and yes some girls can kick b***. I've never seen a vampire show or movie with a heroine, another different aspect of Blood Ties. Give it another chance, Blood Ties will surprise you. It won me over.
