The Vancouver Firefly/Serenity Meetup Group will be hosting this year's "Can't Stop the Serenity" Charity Screening on June 22nd at the 400 seat Norm Theatre in the Student Union Building at UBC. There is an entire day of events planned, including filking, a costume contest, a silent auction and door prizes. More information (including a list of auction items) is available at our blog site.
Special Guest Jewel Staite (Kaylee) will be on hand for a Q & A session before the movie.
In addition to raising money for
Equality Now this year 10% of the net proceeds will be going to support the
BC Women's Hospital and Health Centre.
Tickets are $15, and are available through our blog site (Pay Pal transactions include an extra $1 fee), from Happy Bats Cinema on East 15th in Vancouver, or in person from many of the Firefly Club members.
