Buffy DVDs are selling like hotcakes.

HMV in my neck of the woods has piles and piles of DVDs in stock.  You can't go two steps through the aisles without running into them.  People are just buying them up.

Hard to believe a show like that from back in 1998 is still a big phenomena.

The full-series collections, or the single-season slim packs? At one point they couldn't keep the collections in stock - I had to order mine online.

Doesn't that mean they're not selling quickly enough? ;)

    The slimpacks.

You'd think with sales they'd have considered doing another movie by now-- with or without Gellar.

Yea, I know, I know.  It's gotta have Gellar.  Stick out tongue  I'd watch the movie with her recast.

BTW, have you been following Gellar's career?  Her movie Southland Tales bombed in Cannes and got edited 1/2 hour shorter, she's done another horror movie by Rogue Pictures "The Return", "Hunting and Fishing", "The Air I Breathe", and another animated flick "Happly Ever After" is slated for the 1/5/07.

The woman's an A list celebrity!  Cool!

Oh, yeah. Right on top of her game. She could serve as an example to all those other young stars on how to make great career choices. Wink

Didn't "The Return" have a blink-and-you'll-miss-it run in the theatres? I honestly can't even remember when it played in the major houses...

What do you think is going to happen when you have Freddie Prinz Jr. advising you?

    You're right.

It made about $4.4 million.  She did better with the Grudge franchise.

Still, it's another movie notch to yon bedpost. Wink

Same with my local HMV, they have literally piles and piles of copies (and have had for months) alongside the stacks of Firefly and added the Angel sets when they came out in at least three prominent places around the store.  They do seem to be selling well, Most times I go in I see at least one person carrying a set around.  Though I bought my "Chosen Collection" at Future Shop last November for an even better deal of $139.  Big Smile

Rumour states why SMG is not doing any big flicks is she wants to give Freddie a son and is concerned if she takes on a big project and she/they get lucky what might happen.  After all I think next to Ally H I think she is probably the most active of all the people from Buffy.
