Psi-Phi-Sam:As mentioned, next issue is April 4. How about if we post some reminders to each other. It going to be difficult to go shopping for each issue. Anyone know how many there are supposed to be in all?
I think there were originally going to be something like 20, but it's now up to around 25. Joss is writing the first four, and the double-sized final issue. In between, he'll be plotting, and the writing is supposed to be done by some well-known comic book writers, and former Buffy writers (each writing a four-issue arc, I believe.)

Update:
I was wrong: the series was originally going to be 25 issues, but not any more. Here's a bit from an article about the comic from March 2, 2007:
The season will be broken into arcs, each with a different writer.
Though he initially thought the series would run for 20 issues, Whedon
has since revised his estimate to be well over 30. He's writing the
first four issue arc as well as a one-shot in the fifth issue. Brian K.
Vaughan (Y: The Last Man, Runaways) will be taking over after that.
Whedon will return for various stories and arcs throughout the season,
particularly to end the entire storyline.
You can read the entire article, including an interview with Joss, here.

As for issue #1, I wasn't able to get it, today — due to huge mudslides that wiped out portions of the Trans Canada Hwy north of Vancouver.
(The highway could be closed for as much as 10 days; I'm hoping the comics will come to town via another route…)

We now return you to your regularly scheduled topic...
