SPACE's latest contest has just started!

Will the contests ever return to the way they were before?  You know, back when I didn't have to gimp my browser to enter?  

Ever since Netflix started poping up 800x600 sized windows a few years back, I have never gone without a popup blocker / disabler.  The "new" pop-over dhtml  is horrid enough..

Right now there's a very specific way of doing contests and modifying it is something out of my hands

I hope you will also consider posting the names of winners for contests.  I know in the past some contests were  canceled due to lack of entries.

K. For the next year, all contest entering will be done in pop-ups. You can set your preferences to always allow pop-ups from this site (SPACE) and that should help..

We can't publish winners names. Winners are contacted and prizes are sent out each time a contest ends. 

Thank you for checking this out.  I have asked the same question at least three times since the site revamp and this is the first reply I've gotten, and was very promptly answered. 

 I guess I just won't be entering any contests for the next year because I definitely will not allow pop-up anywhere.

I'm just curious why you cannot post winners names when Space use to do it in the past and it's current sister station do it.  Also since anytime I have read the rules they have been generic how can a person klnow how long a contest will be running or will the rules be modified for each contest?  Incidently I do not se a problem with displaying names especially after the person(s) have been contacted but posting their addresses or phone number I can see why you woulkd not do that.

I hope you will add when the contest ends plus i am curious if a person wins and you phone will you leave a message on a answering machine?

It's our current policy to not make the winners public. This can change depending on contest.

Plus, I am sure that not everyone wants their name mentioned if they win a prize, Dave(AKalel).

I would also like to welcome you to the forums, Schierke. It is nice to see another Space employee(in whatever capacity that may be) posting here.
