Is anyone else as dissapointed and ticked off as I am?

Allright here it is. I HATE SEASON TEN. Worst season ever! Not only did they(space channel) make us wait by pre-empting the last episodes for like 5 months while they wittled down their other shows season finishers(BSG,Dresden files etc.) to keep the ratings up before they went back to SG-1.  Bu then the last five episodes of one of the best series in tv history and you'd think it was season 5 or something with the way they're just prancing around. Oooohhh Teal'c on quest for blood or on no they think were terroiststs, or Vala's estranged father shows up. Meanwhile the aurai are maurauding through the galaxy conquering planet after planet and sheppard goes to highschool renuion. And what the hell was that nonsense with the allucian alliance. WHAT ABOUT THE AURAI? Personally I haven't felt this ripped off since the X-Files ended; if the episode they aired last night on Thursday June 14th was in fact series finalle, then it was THE WORST SERIES FINALE EVER and THE WORST LAST FIVE EPISODES OF SERIES EVER as well. I'm sorry to all the mega die hard ultra hardcore fans but I feel totally TOTALLY RIPPED OFF.

    Next week is THE last

I dont know but Stargate was not gonna finish like the last 2 series of Star Trek with a happy ending "Voyager reach earth thanks to future Janeway" and Enterprise make a 5 year jump to the birth of the Federation.

Re: Is anyone else as dissapointed and ticked off as I am?

Well Voyagers series closer was pretty kickass cause they laied a huge beatdown on the borg/borg queen (very kickass) and You may have noticed that when first aired it (voyager finisher) was a 2 hour special and it wasn't until reruns aired that it was broken down into two episodes. I just figurered that Stargate would be more blockbuster style ending not this garbage they've been shoving down our throats for the last year. And I don't care if it's a happy ending or a sad ending (Daniel better not "die" again cuz that's getting really old) I just want to see the kickass stuff that made me watch stargate in the first place, like the season 7 closer with Anubis and the ancient wepon in antarctica or season 8 with the replicators. I just wanted to see more episodes with the aurai seeing as how they're the badest ass guys since the replicators. But no they give us all this side story stuff that would have been better if it were in season 5 for crying out loud. I still stand by my statement that I haven't felt this ripped off by series last season since X-files which in my opinion was a huge rip off.

Re: Is anyone else as dissapointed and ticked off as I am?

First of alllet me say if you are going to cite examples of why you are displeased about a show try to get some of your facts accurate.  Sheperd is a regular on Atlantis sure I think he might of been in a episode or 2 of SG-!.  it was Mitchell who went to the high school reunion.  As for making Space making us wait its not their doing its the company they got the show from has certain things in place that prevented Space from airing anything they had in advance.  Re the episodes that stayed away from major things sure it seems like they did to many but as I think most of us can agree to often in ourt lives can we have the fortune of just one thing happenning at a time after all that is what can make life so stressfull.  As for the finale SG-1 sure I am a little bummed that the show is ending and the little bit of detail I have heard does not tickle my fancy I am glad they are doing the movies rather then trying to wrap everything perfectly in a 2 hour let alone one hour finale.  I think most of us can say it is a rare thing for a show thats be on for at least 5 years/seasons that wil have a finale that resolves all plot threads and answers any questions fans/viewers may of had throughout the show 100%.  In someways I think thats what makes a good finale thet does not have wrap anything up.  After all who knows what may happpen look at Babylon 5 that ended quite a few years ago the show ended and they attempted a spinoff and did a tv movie with a thing called Lost Tales to be released shortly.

Good point. I most definately should have checked on those facts I pulled up before posting. You do make a compelling argument. But I still feel ripped off; which in itself makes me feel bad because SG-1 is such a great show. I do hope that next weeks final finale (beacuse I recall an advetisement for the episode this week june 14th as being the finale) wipes away any dissapointment I have. And don't get me wrong those movies coming out are going to be kickass ( The first Stargate movie Kicked some SERIOUS ASS) but I just feel that since they are ending the series it should be going out with a bigger bang then I feel they have; especially considering the caliber of some of the season closers (like Anubus and the replicators) they've done.

I am curious tho with fandom in some cases borrows from each other if for a lack of a better term if these Stargate finale DVD movies sell well if more shows we try to attempt to do the samething and have vague finales with the hope if they can get entire cast of doing a straight to dvd finale movie(s).

Was that it? That was lame; stuck in time dialation feild for 50 years and you'd figure that maybe  O'Neill would have had a part in that just maybe. I mean come on every season closer they've had have been lightyears ahead of the series finale. That would have been better if they had a season 11 to go to, but they don't! Lame, lame, lame. We all know what happens to horses that lame. Worst series closer since X-Files. I want no part of those cash grab dvds they got coming out no part at all because the series finale has runined stargate for me period.

Re: Is anyone else as dissapointed and ticked off as I am?

I agree with you that the season finale should have been better.

I would have prefer that they insist more on the death of the Aasgard's civilisation. Make a ceremony out of it, something like that,
and keep the Ori hunt of the new modified ship for the first movie. Like a double meaning thing.
