marvellous! looking forward to this series, given how well Masters of Horror is done. and then can Masters of Fantasy be far behind?
Thanks, but I don't need any help getting into trouble since I seem to manage quite well on my own.

they filmed six episodes but ABC is only airing four of them

Do you know if space will be airing all six shows?

Thanks for the tip! Finally ....

But it's not a miniseries; it's an anthology series of standalone episodes, much like Masters of Horror.

The Masters of Science Fiction :

---a clean escape --- the awakening --- jerry was a man --- the discarded --- little brother --- watchbird ---

I love watching anthology series' for the main reason of each episode has its own storyline and not a continuing story and different actors and characters each episode. Just like my favourite Tales from the Darkside.

Can space re-run Tales from the Darkside PLEASE!!!  90 episodes created between 1984-'88

Man lives in the sunlit world of what he believes to be reality. But, there is, unseen by most, an underworld, a place that is just as real, but not as brightly lit..... A DARKSIDE.

The dark side is always there, waiting for us to enter, waiting to enter us. Until next time, try to enjoy the daylight.

    Re: Masters of Sci Fi

Tales from the Darkside was a lot of fun when it aired. It often used to run alongside Monsters, another fun little anthology series. I'd be great to see some of those old episodes again....as for Masters of Sci-Fi, I wasn't overly impressed with the debut - the Stephen Hawking episode (next week!) looks like it could be decent though.

Isn't every episode hosted by Hawking? Or do you mean next week's is based on a story he wrote?

We really enjoyed last night's episode. Very dialogue-heavy, but the two main actors definitely had the chops to deliver it.

Ya I missed the 1st episode on ABC as well so I will wait for Masters/Sci-Fi to land on Space as Space may give us the last 2 episodes that ABC has no plans to air.

    Re: Masters of Sci Fi

According to other boards I visit word is ABC was told to pick the 4 best episodes of the 6 in case they are not able to air all 6 it will be interesting if Space viewers agree with the powers that be from ABC.

"Jerry Was A Man", now that one surprises me, i would not have expected, given Robert A. Heinlein's huge oeuvre of short fiction, that particular minor piece would get selected for the series. i would have bet money on "- And He Built a Crooked House" or one of his Moon colonization stories or something else, but not this one.

    Re: Masters of Sci Fi

I admit I have never read any Robert stories but perhaps the reason they picked that story was either due to time and or budget restraints.

    Re: Masters of Sci Fi

ya gotta figure that some of the choices of stories were done because they were affordable.  the moon colony one shouldn't have been that big an issue in this day and age but you never know...
