Is this the same show that NBC wil be airing on Wednesdays in place of Deal or No Deal?

As far as we know, yes, it's the same show that NBC will show "live" on Wednesday nights.  I am completely at a loss as to why the decision was made to acquire this particular show, but yes, it's the same one.

I remember speaking to him a lot of years back when I worked at the publisher in London, Andre Deutsch Ltd. He was a personal friend of the late Mr. Deutsch.

I lasted until the 1st break. What the frak was that all about? It's no wonder NBC is in the cellar. I sure hope that Space isn't paying much for the privilege of airing this dog! It still boggles my mind that shows like Jericho get axed, then sort of brought back (one day maybe), yet the network suits give a go to this kind of amateur drivel. It is definitely a "peter-principle" world.

It's just that this sort of drivel is cheaper to make.  The ratings will probably make it go away much more quickly than any of the mentalists could.

I think the show is just really weird.  And Chris Angel is being really mean, they made him the Simon of this show.  Gellar is the nice one and Chris is the jerk.  And tonight on the show he actually got into a fight with one of the acts.  Granted I agree the act was really over the top but Chris didn't haven't be such a jerk about it.  I watched the first 2 shows of it but I can't see myself continuing especially once Bionic Woman comes back next week.

I would watch it if it degenerated into a magic showdown were the hosts and the contestants battled each other with magic.

Why did space put this crap on, reality showslike this suck they're all fixed and Cris Angel (the mind frak) sucks even more then these reality shows. lose this crap and bring back Jericho or classics like Babalon 5

All I can say is this: right on!

I saw the act where they were about to go Jerry Springer, I thought it was hilarious.

I still say they need to have fights with lightning bolts and balls of fire flying around, with heads exploding left and right.  That would be great television.
