    episode: We'll Meet Again

watched that one on sunday on one of the CityTV stations.

enjoyed scriptwriter Denis McGrath's take on the concept of reincarnation. reminded me of a short story that either Seabury Quinn or Clark Ashton Smith wrote for Weird Tales back in the 1930s/40s about a pair of lovers meeting again and again through time as their souls re-incarnated.

'course that short story was poignant and sweet and all that. McGrath's working of the idea of time-crossed lovers has a bittersweet tragic edge to it more in keeping with the gothic nature of the Blood Ties series.

    well done!

    Yes

Thanks, but I don't need any help getting into trouble since I seem to manage quite well on my own.

Re: episode: We'll Meet Again (Spoiler Warning)

For anyone who hasn't see the episode yet, my comments may be a bit "spoiler-ish".

I agree.  I really liked how they brought in the idea that everything could get out of sync and how the process was acutally, totally in the lovers' control.   I also found it interesting that Vicki was against Lee hitting the cosmic "reset" button (for good reason) but a bit hypocritical from her since she got Henry to reset the events in 5:55 after Mike was shot.  GRIN.

Interestinly enough, the theme is the same though.  Nothing is predestined.  Vicki (through the effects of the demon brands or not) was able to change the playout of events in 5:55 and Lee and Helen were able to choose the course of their lives.

I am really hoping for another season of this show.  The complexity of the stories is so wonderful.  I love how I can watch the shows multiple times and discover different lines of thinking, layers of the characters and everything that is going on around them.  A perfect show for an intellectual type like myself.  ~smirk~
