Hi folks - I'm a new poster - watch SPACE all the time but never checked out the forums.  I came looking for them to publicise a film festival my friends and I have put together. It runs from January 30th to February 4th - 9 films - 8 speakers - 6 nights in Vancouver at the International Film Centre on Seymour St.

 It's a mix of speakers from the VFX industry including two Academy Award winners, and a bunch of classic effects films like "2001: A Space Odyssey", "Jason and the Argonauts" and "The Matrix".  Lot's of the speakers worked on these films and will be introducing them and so on.  Hope some of you are interested.

Welcome to the boards Drood. I doubt if you have broken any rules, afterall this is suppose to be a space forum, and if you check out some of the banter on the threads you will find there is reasonable room for shall I say verbal intercourse. The only side effect from your post is that somewhere east of the Rockies and west of Montreal in a land called Toronto there are some who are in shock and dismay that a Fim Festival of any sort is not being held there.   Good post and thanks for the info.
