    Farscape Merchandise - New!

With the popularity of Farscape on iTunes, it looks like the various companies who had Farscape products in the works have decided that the time is right to release them.  Big Smile

Entertainment Earth is releasing a 1812 DRD Plushie!

I already have the Rygel Plushie and the regular DRD plushie.  I am just waiting for this one to add to my collection.   Apparently there is a plan for a Scorpy Plushie.  Which is bizarrely appealing - and I can't wait to get him.   *snicker*

And yesterday La La Land Records released Farscape Classics Volume 3 featuring the music from the episodes The Choice and The Locket.   Break my heart why don't you?   If you order now, you can get your CD autographed by composer Guy Gross at no additional charge. Autographs are first come, first served for a limited time and are not guaranteed.

I ordered my copy yesterday and within three hours I got an e-mail mentioning that it had shipped.   Big Smile

In addition, to celebrate the release of Farscape Classics Volume 3, La La Land Records is offering a Farscape Special.   Customers can get the first two volumes of Farscape Classics for $15.98 each.

Not bad for a show that has been out of production for four years.   And now we are all just waiting (im)patiently for the webisodes.   Big Smile

They are awesome.   Smile  The music CDs are great too - but you can't hug a CD with as much comfort as the plushies.

This Christmas I put little Santa Hats (Ken bought them for the dogs) on both Rygel and my DRD and put them under the Christmas tree.   As silly as it sounds, they looked great - and very festive.  Big Smile

Does the 1812 plushie play the overture when you squeeze it? :P

    Re: Farscape Merchandise - New!

    Un-frelling-believable!

    A Scorpius Plush!

Scorpius, is the half-Sebacean, half-Scarran Peacekeeper who pursues John Crichton for the secrets of wormhole technology locked in John Crichton's unconscious mind to create a wormhole weapon. The product of an experiment by the Scarrans, Scorpius prides himself on his patience and his intellect. Scorpius is willing to do absolutely anything to achieve his goals, which he is very honest about when it suits him. This 12" tall plush recreates Farscape's fearsome Scorpius into a softer, cuddlier form!

You can pre-order him now here.

Come on.  Who wouldn't want to wake up every morning to see that face sharing your pillow?  *snicker*

I wonder if an announcement about the webisodes is just around the corner. There's gotta be something behind this explosion of new stuff. Big Smile

I like the way you think.

Just read this con report at Comic Book Resources.

The panel saved the biggest announcement for last; Boom! will be producing comic books based on the cult favorite television show "Farscape." Waid showed admirable restraint, as he clearly had a big name attached to the book that he knew the audience would love, but could not reveal it at this time. "Think Joss Whedon writing 'Buffy' comics. That's what this will be to 'Farscape,'" said Waid. According to Mosher, the series will be released "before the end of year, all around the world."

A big name?   Like Joss Whedon writing Buffy comic?   Who could that be????

And then there was this from The Muppet Newsflash:

The Farscape comic book series is also said to take advantage of the upcoming webisodes being produced by The Jim Henson Company and RHI Entertainment for SCIFI.COM.

    Very interesting. VERY interesting.

    Did I mention... Squeeeee!

    Quick heads up.

On the most recent Jim Henson Company Official Podcast the host interviews Boom! Studios editor Matt Gagnon who discusses the new "Farscape" comic book series.

    Check it out!

Not yet.   Just Boom! Studio keep hinting that it might be Rockne who is helping to write the comics.   Smile

    Re: Farscape on Blu-Ray!

It looks like Sony might finally be moving on re-releasing Farscape.

There is a vague listing at both Target & Amazon for a Blu-ray Farscape release. There's no date or any other information, it just says "Farscape (1999 TVseries) [Blu-ray] (1999)".  Of course, should this happen we will need a Blu-ray DVD Player to play the darn thing.   (Typical)    But it does sorta look as though the people at Sony are at least thinking about re-releasing Season 1.

In addition, it is possible to sign up for notification when the product becomes available - which, of course, I did.

I am taking this as a good sign.    Smile

    Re: Farscape on Blu-Ray!

Now all I need is a Blu-ray player!

Oh and a high definition television that supports 1080p..... and then the Farscape Blu-ray discs...

Who wants to lend me some money? (except replace the word "lend" with "give")
