Battlestar Galactica fans in Kamloops, BC could get the chance of a lifetime....the show has issued a public casting call for local extras for shooting next week.  Galactica is currently set to complete shooting on the final season by June 30th, so next week means they are shooting part of the 2hr (or 3 hr) finale!  Local fans will also remember that Kamloops was previously used by BSG to stand in for the Algae Planet where the Temple of Jupiter was located.

Here's a link to a Kamloops news article with the time and place for the audtions.  They are looking for men and women of all ages and ethnicities, but "all extras must have an athletic build and a clean cut look or be slim with long hair or dreadlocks."

With Earth radioactive, it looks like they're going back to the Algae Planet.

 

 

Except that the Algae planet blew up when the star went nova...

Heres my crazy theory....by the kind of extras they're looking for, "All extras must have an athletic build and a clean cut look or be slim with long hair or dreadlocks.". I think they may be looking for people who could fit the role of nuclear holocaust survivors of earth. Athletic build could suggest humans who have been forced to survive in a primitive environment/military types, but because they are asking specifically for long hair/dreadlocks supports my theory of a primitive society.
